The history of Viacom is split in two parts – before and after the CBS split from 2005. Charles Phillips is part of the modern history of the company. He joined the board of directors in 2006, with the clear purpose to get the company back on its feet. While leading Viacom, he is also the CEO of Infor, another world renowned name, but in the software development. Besides, he is in the leading committee for institutions like the American Museum of Natural History too. In other words, you never know what to expect from him.
